Recognizing Native American Heritage Month

Honoring the American Tribal Nations and Alaska Natives.

Recognizing Native American Heritage Month

On October 29, 2021, President Biden proclaimed November as National Native American Heritage Month and November 26, 2021, as Native American Heritage Day. This proclamation, following the signing of a Presidential Memorandum committing the Biden Administration to respecting Tribal self-governance and to consulting with the Tribal Nations on policy issues, was created with the intention of recognizing and honoring everything the American Tribal Nations and Alaska Natives have given, and lost, throughout the course of American history.
