The Age of TikTok Marketing

TikTok Influencers are Taking Over the Social Media Marketing.

The Age of TikTok Marketing

With TikTok sliding into first as the most popular social media channel of 2022, so comes a change in marketing. Agencies are looking for video creators to make TikToks, and more advertisements on the site are being created than ever before.

Influencers have a strong stance in this new marketing space. Popular influencers get millions of views per post, which can cause a lot of impact. While some influencers have expensive set-ups, cameras, professional lighting, and even paid videographers, others have their own way of garnering popularity.

Khaby Lame, also known as the new “King of TikTok”, recently became the most followed account with 145 million followers. The 22-year-old moved to Italy from Senegal and lost his job working in a factory. Though he did not have the high-tech setup of other popular TikTok influencers he still amassed the largest following in two years. His technique? Authenticity.

Though influencers like Khaby Lame and Charli D’Amelio (the previous TikTok leading influencer) hold their own space, businesses such as Red Bull, Fortnite, and The Washington Post also have an immense following and are considered top TikTok brands.

Using influencers, both popular and up-and-coming, can be a great way to garner attention for your business. That said, businesses can also stand on their own and still gain popularity. It’s all about finding your place in this new marketing space.
